What is Espresso Coffee?
"Espresso" means "when something is forced out" in Italian.
Espresso coffee is one of the most popular ways to drink coffee around the world and forms the base of the famous cappuccino, cafe latte and many other coffee drinks. Espresso coffee is brewed by packing finely ground coffee into a perforated metal basket or portafilter and forcing hot water, at high pressure through the coffee grounds to create coffee.
The use of pressure speeds up brewing time from 5 mins to 25 seconds.
